Being Neighborly

I turned the wireless router off last night because I was/am convinced that we have a neighbor somewhere above or below us stealing our bandwidth. Then I got up this morning and turned on the laptop, not remembering to turn the router back on...

And now I'm still happily surfing the net and checking emails. On somebody else's network. Woo hoo! And their connection seems less problematic than ours. And faster. Tee hee!

Ah, cheap thrills.

Haha. That'd make me grin, too.

LOL.. I tried to steal a neighbour's bandwidth for a little while waiting for my broadband to be connected. But BAH! Neighbour found out after a couple of days, and it was no more free internet. :p

Ooo, yew pulled a Bana!

My neighbor and I keep our wireless access points on without WEP.
I have cable and he has DSL, so we can use one another's ISPs when one of these is out (more often, it's cable that's out).

lol - you just have to be fortunate enough to have neighbours who leave their wireless network running without a password. like me... ;)
