As Charlie Brown used to say:

Had two exams today, back to back.

That was the good part of the day.

Band practice, the part of the day that I usually LOVE, was a nightmare. Took us one hour to do ONE song. Nobody was talking, everyone was yelling (and not because they were mad but because everyone refused to turn their amps down no matter how much I pleaded) and making noise on their instruments while everyone else was trying to talk, and just interrupting interrupting interrup- and NOTHING got done. It was so frustrating I nearly walked out and had to restrain myself from doing some people physical harm and bursting into tears all at the same time.

In the end I had to do Stern-Yoj to restore order, which I absolutely hate. And after that we got the next 4 songs of the set done in under half an hour. Augh! So while it worked out in the end, it was just the ultimate worst way to end a really, really exhausting day, which would have otherwise been one of the best days of the week.

Yeah, I realized recently that I like exams. I like the focus. I like the rush. (Really.)

But for the exams to have been the best part of my day and for me to feel powerless and disrespected and exhausted after something that should've been great was really a kick in the face. So I just had a good cry. Good thing Deb was around to give me a hug.

God, help.
